My name is Derek Millard and my consulting practice is about enabling change - for individuals, groups and teams, small businesses, mid-sized companies, and large enterprises. Whether my role is being a change agent in a large organization or a one on one coach with a small business owner, I see my value added as bringing my depth of expertise about change to bear on your particular difficult issues, challenges and opportunities so that you can better achieve your goals. In other words, you should be better off, after having worked with me. If you are not, I will return my fee.

That promise made, let me clarify that I won’t work with just anybody or with just any situation. There has to be a collaborative working agreement, reasonable conditions for success and joint accountability for results. I will be a collaborative and supportive partner - but ultimately the decisions and actions are yours. Typically the first step of the process with me is to explore whether or not there is a good fit between us (working relationship) and whether or not there is a fit between your problem/opportunity and my areas of expertise.

I have over 20 years of experience consulting with many types of organizations ranging from small family businesses to Fortune 500 firms. I have a Masters of Science in Organizational Development from American University/NTL Institute (with Honors, 1982). I was a Senior Organizational Development Consultant with Levi Strauss and Co for over 5 years with Global Sourcing and Operations as my internal client.
